PVO makes recurring financial contributions to the San Diego VAMC Volunteer Services Department to facilitate purchasing new shoes and clothing for needy San Diego area veterans receiving medical care through the VA. The VA Volunteer Services Department maintains a continuously re-stocked storage facility to provide needy veterans with free of charge clothing and shoes.
The San Diego area has one of the largest homeless veteran populations in the country and assisting these veterans is a PVO priority. We also collect used clothing/shoes from area residents and deliver these items to the VA San Diego Medical Center Volunteer Services Department.
If you would like to help the PVO assist needy veteran patients please consider making a financial donation to PVO and mark the donation for VA clothing drive. You may also contact PVO for us to pick up donated clothes and shoes for delivery to the VAMC.
